We determine the rating based on an average day of the tour, which may have varying levels of difficulty throughout the trip. Leisurely tours are perfect for those who want to enjoy a relaxed ride through stunning landscapes, without the pressure of covering long distances or tackling challenging terrain. These tours typically cover 30-50 km per day, with an elevation gain of up to 500m. You’ll have plenty of time to stop and take in the views, enjoy local cuisine, and explore the charming towns and villages along the way. Moderate cycling tours are ideal for those who want a balance of scenic rides and a bit of a challenge. These tours typically cover 50-80 km per day, with an elevation gain of up to 1000m. You’ll ride through beautiful countryside and charming villages, with a mix of flat and hilly terrain. There’s plenty of time to stop and explore, while still getting a great workout on the bike. Challenging cycling tours are designed for experienced cyclists who want to push themselves to the limit. These tours typically cover 80-120 km per day, with an elevation gain of up to 2000m. You’ll tackle steep climbs and challenging terrain, with stunning views as your reward. These tours require a high level of fitness and endurance, but the sense of accomplishment at the end of each day is unbeatable.

We are dedicated to finding the ideal match for you. We collaborate with various accommodation providers that meet our criteria, but their availability may differ, especially during peak seasons. Moreover, we can personalize your vacation based on your preferences and budget, making sure we discover the most fitting solution for your needs.

How far in advance should I book?

We advise booking your tour as early as possible, especially for popular tourist destinations where accommodation options are limited. The best choices are often booked out for summer before spring even arrives.

What if I have dietary restrictions?

Accommodating dietary restrictions depends on their severity and can vary in ease. While vegetarian options are relatively common in Spain, finding vegan dishes can be more difficult in rural areas or smaller towns. It’s worth noting that lunch stops are typically at traditional establishments that may not be able to fulfill special requests beyond their standard menu. It’s important to keep this in mind when planning your trip.

What's the best season for cycling in Spain?

Typically, late spring (May) and early autumn (September) are optimal for cycling tours, depending on the specific tour. However, summer can also be considered depending on the region due to potentially high temperatures.

What if the weather forecast is unfavorable?

Most tours can still take place in light rain as long as you dress appropriately. During the summer months, afternoon thunderstorms are common, so it’s best to start the tour early. If the weather looks particularly bad, we can try to make adjustments to the tour ahead of time.

What kind of bicycle is the best for these tours?

Our tours are specially designed for road bikes unless specified differently, and when it comes to Spain, an endurance road bike would be the most optimal choice. However, using a different type of bike will not pose any issues . Gravel bikes can be an excellent alternative as they offer versatility without compromising road performance. Rest assured, we can always customize our tours to accommodate your bike. For instance, if you opt for a gravel bike, we can incorporate gravel roads into the itinerary. Regardless of your bike choice, you are more than welcome to join our road cycling tours in Spain, as we will make the necessary adjustments to ensure a seamless experience.

How does luggage transfer work?

On cycling trips, luggage transfer allows you to ride without carrying heavy bags. Each morning, you leave your luggage at the designated spot—often the hotel reception—and it’s transported to your next overnight stop. Your bags are usually waiting for you when you arrive. Weight limits and pickup times can vary slightly depending on the service provider.

Do you transfer bikes too? How does it work?

Yes, bike transfers are often available when needed—such as before, after, or during your trip. Bikes are typically transported in secure vehicles or trailers designed for bicycles. You may need to notify the provider in advance, and some services require the bike to be clean or partially disassembled. Exact procedures vary depending on location and logistics.

You'll ride through fertile plains and charming white villages, where you can stop for a taste of local delicacies to recharge. This will be the first opportunity to look for the names of riders painted upon the roads from recent cycling events. You'll make a loop around the area and return to Granada for the night.

Today, you'll have a chance to appreciate the beauty of the Andalusian countryside on a slightly easier day of cycling. You'll pass olive and almond groves, a beautiful blue lake, and a climb through pine trees, looking down on the valley. Along the way, you'll see the names of pro riders painted upon the roads from the Ruta del Sol (Vuelta a Andalusia) race.

It's time for the ultimate challenge of this tour as you ride up to Europe's highest road bike climb. The Pico Veleta climb is 30 km long, with an elevation gain of 2100 m, and takes you into the thin air of the Sierra Nevada mountains. The stunning views will take your breath away as you pass the altitude sports training complex and the stage finish of last year's La Vuelta. After reaching the summit, you'll enjoy an exhilarating descent through Monachil's lush green valley.

Set off on an exhilarating 5-day cycling adventure through the stunning Andalusian countryside, exploring Granada's picturesque landscapes and scaling Europe's highest road bike climb.

As you ride past the plains, you'll be amazed by the ever-changing scenery, with the names of pro riders like Valverde and Contador still visible on the road from recent races.

The tour will take you toward the wonderful roads in the countryside favored by local Granada cyclists. You will encounter olive and almond groves, beautiful blue lakes, and a climb through pine trees that are certain to win your heart over. You'll see the pro riders' names painted on the road from the Ruta del Sol and get a chance to ride on the same roads that locals and even the pros regularly train on.

The tour's final challenge is the Pico Veleta climb, where you'll get to experience the Sierra Nevada Mountains, a UNESCO Biosphere reserve, and a much-loved national park of Spain. You'll ride up to 2,500 meters, into the thin air of the mountains, and even higher if the weather permits. At 2,400 meters, we'll pass an altitude sports training complex regularly used by pro teams and triathletes. At the top, we'll reach Alto de Hoya, a stage finish of 2022's La Vuelta.

Throughout the tour, you'll be surrounded by stunning scenery, challenging climbs, and the thrill of cycling on the same routes as pro riders. You'll get to see Andalusia from a whole new perspective and create unforgettable memories.

I would highly recommend anyone doing this tour take the e-bike option. There were only 3 of us on our tour who completed this on regular bikes. Four others who started out on regular bikes swapped over to e-bikes after the first day. The climbs are long and steep. There is pretty much only up or down, not much flat or undulating road. It is doable, but very challenging. If you are on an e-bike then this also helps with the group staying together and no-one having to wait too long for others to catch up. The bikes were really good and had great gearing that was capable of handling the steeper climbs. When we booked we were unaware that we would be riding in a group of 20plus at all time. Thankfully our group had prior group riding experience but we did observe other large groups with less than desirable riding behaviours.Others in our group were extremely understanding and supportive. Our guide, David, was very adamant about staying safe on the road. He was flexible with the itinerary and made changes to suit the weather conditions and to ensure we got in as much riding as possible. He was vey knowledgeable about Croatian history and agriculture and taught us lots about the country he is so passionate about. Our captain, Tolma, was also amazing and along with his awesome crew, made our cruise an enjoyable experience.
